All hail Raspberry, our new cloud overlord!

Been a while, don't you think? Today, I would like you to meet Raspberry, our new cloud platform that represents years of research and sweat. We believe that just like the Biscuit, it represents the finest specimen of engineering and design in this time and age, especially when it comes to cloud platforms which are usually dull. I have been authorised by the greater overlords to show you some of the improvements we have in store for you!

Support for teams, or as we like to call them - organisations! You can now sign up your entire company and let your co-workers manage the account, while separating your private things that nobody should have access to. One of the most requested features is finally here! :)

Having support for organisations would be near-useless if we didn't have a granular permissions system in-place, so we built that too. We made sure permissions are easy to understand and simple to change, so you don't have to hit your head against the wall trying to figure them out!

Need more control? Boot a machine from a CD/DVD rom, or configure the types of drivers. Do you what that means? It means you can finally run pretty much any OS you want, and yes - that means even FreeBSD!

Creating a new server is a breeze with our beautiful new ordering and customisation screen. You can now have an additional disk drive, choose to automatically install one of our pristine pre-built OS images or do it yourself. Select and add any SSH keys you want pre-installed and you’re away.

And you are not limited to fixed, monthly packages. Build what you need, and pay how you want.

Speaking of payments, PayPal support is finally here and can be used to pre-pay your account.

There is plenty more cool features and enhancements, designed to make is simpler and faster to mange your cloud servers. And much more planned!

And more than that, the most radical improvements are skin deep, and can’t be seen. Our entire backend platforms have been replaced. We now have a real cloud-like configuration that enabled VM mobility, migration, and higher availability. For example, if a node goes down, your server can be booted up straight away on a different box! All our primary storage is on flash memory for awesome performance. Our networking is much improved on a 10GbE backbone and we have full IPv6 support.

All of these are just enablers, it simply supports our commitment to providing the best cloud infrastructure experience around.
